New Side of Steve

As most of you know, my hubby is a bit shy and reserved around most people. Well, I just wanted to give you all a peek of what happens around our dinner table. If you can't tell, there are 2 grapes in his mouth!

My Latest Projects

This week the kids had spring break, which means lots of extra noise, but also some extra alone time, due to the fact that Preston has someone to play with. Well, I finally got my sewing machine out again, thanks to Leesa for giving me some sewing projects. She wanted a few "boy play clothes" so I made some manly capes for her little man. The first one is superman on one side and batman on the other and the other cape is spider man and going to be Buzz Lightyear.

I also decided to sew a few pillowcases for the kids. I haven't made Braden's yet, but can you possibly guess which one is Kari's? Shiny AND Rainbow! Not sure how comfortable it will be to actually use it, but that's beside the point. Preston's is CARS. Now he can sleep with cars, lay on cars, and be covered up by Cars.

Kari's Latest FHE Activity

I thought the last activity Kari was in charge of was creative, but this one is even better. It is hard to see what is being done, but here's the "game."

We each had a tight little rubber hair band that we put around our nose. When the band pops off, we have to catch it in a little dixie cup. Here's a few videos of our efforts.

Kari's FHE Activity

Each week for Family Home Evening everyone in the family has a different responsibility. This week was Kari's turn for game/activity. She comes up with the most unusual games for us to play. Most of the time they have something to do with her stockpile of lotion. Well this week, we tied a string to a bottle of her lotion and had to knock it out of the string with a little toy bat. If, and only if, we were amazing enough to knock it out of the string we were privileged to put on one of her many lotions. As you can imagine, Braden and Daddy did NOT want to win the prize. Preston however was thrilled to pick which lotion he could have.

Here's a picture and a video clip of this exciting game. Everyone, please feel free to use this in your own home. It's delightful!
